چکیده
As the fourth state of matter, plasma’s unique properties and interactions with other states matter offer many promising opportunities for investigation discovery. In particular, cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), operating at pressure room temperature, has remarkable potential biomedical applications through various delivery methods. These include sterilization, wound healing, blood coagulation, oral/dental diseases treatment, cancer therapy, immunotherapy. Effective constituents is critical to its efficacy these applications. Therefore, this review presents key research activities related CAP (including direct delivery, plasma-activated media, device-assisted therapeutics) needs future research. This will be great interest understanding current state-of-the-art medicine while also giving researchers from a broad range communities insight into efforts that would benefit their contributions. Such biomedicine, physics, biochemistry, material science, nanotechnology, medical device manufacturing.

Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) Nanotechnology Technique for Biomedical Applications
Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is an ionized gas where the ion temperature is close to room temperature as opposed to typical high-temperature laboratory plasmas. It can be carried out in the presence of Helium (He) with a high voltage. CAP is composed of various electrons, positive/negative ions, reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS), radicals, excited molecules, energe...
متن کاملNon-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma sources for biomedical applications
It was presented that various types of non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma sources operated with low frequency(~kHz) or microwave frequency feeding argon or helium gas, or in the ambient air could be used for the treatment of cancer cells, sterilization, tooth whitening, and blood coagulation. The antibody-conjugated GNPs enhanced to kill cancer cells exposed to plasmas. The plasmas treatme...
متن کاملAtmospheric Pressure Single Electrode Argon Plasma Jet for Biomedical Applications
Atmospheric pressure single electrode argon /oxygen plasma jet has been generated between a high-voltage electrode and the surrounding room air for treating thermally sensitive materials is reported. The discharge has been characterized by electrical and optical emission spectroscopic technique. The microplasma jet device operated by an electrical power less than 10 W exhibited a long plasma je...
متن کاملCold atmospheric plasma modified nanocomposite cartilage scaffold
Articular cartilage connects diarthrodial joints, lubricates surface between bones, transfers and withstands repetitive load over the lifetime, which is prone to degeneration by various diseases, trauma and injuries. Once degeneration takes place, the avascular structure of human cartilage makes the self-healing extremely challenging. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to fabricate ...
متن کاملCold atmospheric plasma enhances osteoblast differentiation
This study was designed to assess the effects of cold atmospheric plasma on osteoblastic differentiation in pre-osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells. Plasma was irradiated directly to a culture medium containing plated cells for 5 s or 10 s. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity assay and alizarin red staining were applied to assess osteoblastic differentiation. The plasma-generated radicals were detected...
